But where did it all begin?
Meet our Founder
Born in the 80’s, brought home in a brand new Ford Fairlaine, taken to school in a VL Commodore, spent weekends in his Dads VC Valiant (between watching episodes of Dukes of Hazzard), then his teenage years turning spanners (And Rotors!) on his own Rx2, a few ET Turbos, then modifying a N13 Pulsar with a CA18DET (Silvia/180sx) Motor, turning a Suzuki Swift GTi into a turbo beast and the having Skylines, Subaru’s and Golf R’s as daily drivers was just the part of his adventures playing and enjoying all types of Horsepower!
Having passed his teenage years and still a mad lover of Horsepower, venturing out and enjoying shows like Auto Salon, Extreme Horsepower (Now Auto Expo) and the street scene with PEAKS & IBLIS (18115) was his exposure that inspired his love for the scene.
Insert the Anti-Hooning years and a combo of family life interlude here, there was a time in the mid-late 2000’s till 2010 where a pram didn’t fit in the boot of his types of Horsepower and a bigger focus was on raising a young family.
Getting back into the scene into the 20-teens, Adelaide had a monthly calendar of events with Long time favourites like SMASA and new places to enjoy different ones like Friday Night Cruises, other JDM focussed events and the all time fave of Jaf’s & Ben Simpson/Youth Suicide awareness was an every-event-you-can-make enjoyment.
Planning was always in his skill set, (must have been all those episodes of A-Team in the 80’s), so things like a Secret surprise proposal to his wife-to-be, are the types of things he loves to do, when bringing people together to create memories!
Unrelated? Nope! It was just the beginning of the planning bug that bit hard, mixed with the love of all types Horsepower & creating events where if you have oil pumping through your veins, you are welcome, turns just a bunch of people with a common interest online.. into a Motoring Enthusiast Community that celebrates it, Rain hail or shine!
It’s no mistake meeting people in the scene with the same goals in life, values at heart & community in mind; it was at a makeshift cruise at Harbourtown one day where he met one of the now main members on the Team-Yim, that has been a big part of many of the events!

Leading into bigger events it created more friendships, with several of our “Pit Lane” entrants becoming part of our team, which are now like family! Just take a look at these friendly faces in our Retail team!

They certainly help our community be able to enjoy our whole range of merchandise & enter our famous up to $5,000 raffles at our shows! Without them we couldn’t bring so much fun & winning smiles to our events!
Meet our Event Team
With so many of our community’s pride & joys to place into a show position within sometimes 30mins after Car parks full of Camry’s & SUV’s leave, it’s not without our Pit Lane/Event Team’s Show planning, quick thinking and execution that make it all work!
Things can escalate as quick as some cars at high volume events, but nothing gives our team more pleasure in helping members of our community share their horsepower with others at our shows!
