Our Fathers & Generations of Horsepower Festival has got some Cool Horsepower entering already!
We thought it would be a great experience for our community to get to know not only the cool Horsepower entering but also the very cool stories behind the builds!
Fathers & Generations of Horsepower Story 1
(Fathers & Generations Inspired!)
This Cool Corvette has entered our “Fathers & Generations of Horsepower” Festival, but as much as it’s about Cool Corvettes; it’s about the people in our Community and their Fathers & Generations stories! Here’s Anthony’s Story!
Having learnt about cars from his late father, who rode bikes & cars that enthusiasts would die for today (Bikes like a 1948 BSA 250cc & a 1950 Triumph. Classics like a 1927 Nash & 1952 Willys. Plus his Dad was a mad Holden fan! His Dad owned both FJ & FC Sedan’s, plus an EH & HK Premier Wagon!). Anthony was then inspired to work on his own FJ Sedan, FC, EH & HZ Wagons! Anthony then bought this Corvette.
Anthony said this on his Entry Form:
“My son was always hangin’ around when he worked on the car and acquired the knowledge to do his own work as he grew up. It was handy having a natural mechanical aptitude passed down through the family, which has also been inherited by my son. Unfortunately our wives and mothers have not been as impressed by our skills as my father and myself, and with my son-He is about to have a son of his own, I hope the legacy will continue.”
Fathers & Generations of Horsepower Story 2
(Built on Memories!)
This Tastefully modified VY SV8 has entered our “Fathers & Generations of Horsepower” Festival, but as much as it’s about Hot Holden’s; it’s about the people in our Community and their Fathers & Generations stories! Here’s Brendan’s Story!
Brendan’s wish is if his dad was still here to bring his Audi s3 along with him. He is entering as a single car, because he wants to show what his dad and he worked on before he passed away in February this year.
Brendan said in his entry:
“I bought a 2003 VY sv8 in very bad condition and my dad helped me get it to where it is today. Nearly everything has been replaced on this car including a lot of modifications. This car is not finished yet but will continue in my dad’s honor.”
Fathers & Generations of Horsepower Story 3
(Father & Son Finally Unite!)
Fathers & Generations Story 4
(Brothers in Law/Brothers in Horsepower!)
There’s a Holden VS Ford Family Fued in our “Fathers & Generations of Horsepower” Festival! But as much as it’s about Holden’s Fued with Ford; it’s about the people in our Community and their Fathers & Generations stories!
In this Family Scenario we have Josh with his Blue 2006 VE SS up against his brother in law Craig with his Grey 2012 G6E Turbo, its a Modern Generation Aussie muscle battle in this household! Here’s what they had to say on their Entries:
“I’m entering with my brother in-law; Everytime we see each other we always give each other the typical “Ford vs Holden” banter; it goes on for hours! It has been happening since my brother in-law could drive. It will forever be Holden vs Ford in the family, but it’s great to finally be able to show off our rides against each other at this show”
